 undertakes the second attempt to row the Atlantic E to W solo in his ocean rowboat KED ENDEAVOUR,  from La Gomera to Barbados to become the youngest male solo ocean rower (22 at the start). The first attempt was made as part of the Woodvale 2011 Race, but was aborted due to technical problems.

He has already paddled the first leg (640 nm) from Lagos (Portugal) to Las Palmas in 16 days. When successful Gabor will become the first man to paddle an ocean by an ocean canoe.

July 10, 2011: ocean rowboat "Carpe Diem" left Vaxholm, Sweden, skippered by Thomas Siösteen, who intended to row solo the whole way from his native Vaxholm to Venice, Italy, via Germany - the Netherlands - France (canals)- Marseille - Italy- Sicily.
After spending almost four months onboard his boat, returned home in November, finishing his journey in Germany.

 Team of 7 onboard Titan are going to row the Atlantic E-W from Gran Canaria to Barbados in attempt to break the existing record,  set by Matt Craughwell and his crew on board Sara G in 2011, and arrive to Barbados in under 30 days.  The start is planned for February 2012 


Jenn Gibbons (USA) 

 

Kjartan J Hauksson (Iceland) 

is going to row solo across the Atlantic E - W along the Trade Winds Route II - from Senegal, West Africa to Guyana, South America, in her ocean rowboat Liv.
The departure is scheduled for 2012.

having circumnavigated 1240 nautical miles around Iceland, intends to row the Atlantic E-W solo from Europe to South America, from continent to continent non-stop, to become the first Icelandic ocean rower. The departure is planned for February 2012.

 after having rowed the Atlantic E-W in team of four (2009), are intending to row the Indian Ocean from Geraldton, WA. to Mauritius to become the first French and the first female team of two to row the Indian.
The departure is planned for April 1st 2012

having rowed the Indian Ocean (2009) and cycled from Tower Bridge to Tokyo (April-November 2011) as part of the expedition "London to London Via the World", is now readying to row the Pacific W-E on board Gulliver.
The departure from Choshi is scheduled for Spring 2012



 

Mathieu Bonnier (France)

 

Graeme de Wit (South Africa)

after rowing the Atlantic E-W solo (Trades II, 2009) and more than 2500 km in Baffin Bay and the Northwest Passage (2010), is planning to row the Atlantic W-E from Cape Cod to France.
The start is scheduled for Spring 2012 (t.b.a.)

intends to pioneer an alternative route across the Indian Ocean - from Australia to South Africa, from continent to continent. Graeme will row a Phil Morrison design boat built by himself in his workshop in Pietermaritzburg.
The departure is planned for April 2012

Niall Iain Macdonald (GB)

intends to row the Pacific W-E, from Choshi, Japan to San Francisco, USA in a bid to become the first Briton to successfully row along this route solo. The departure is planned for  May 2012 r
Charlie has rowed the Atlantic W-E -  2006, Team Hesco.

is going to attempt a solo row across the Atlantic W-E, from New York to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. The departure is planned for  May 2012

the duo (Atlantic E-W 2005/06) will now attempt to row the Atlantic W-E, from USA to London, UK in the ocean rowboat ‘Bojangles’. Their ambition is to arrive to London in time for the Olympic opening ceremony.
The departure is scheduled for May 14th 2012 

After having rowed the Atlantic East to West (Sara G, 2010), intends to row the North Atlantic solo West to East from Magdalen Islands, Quebec to Brittany, France to become the first Canadian to row the Atlantic West to East.
The departure is scheduled for May - June 2012



Wave Vidmar (USA)

 

Charles Hedrich (France)

will attempt to row across the North Atlantic W-E, from USA to Europe, aiming for England in his custom, high-tech, hand-made 24 foot ocean row boat Liberty. The departure is scheduled for Summer 2012

intends to row the Atlantic both ways non-stop - from Newfoundland to Europe, along the coasts of France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, to continue via Canary Islands and finish in the Carribean. The departure is planned for June 2012.

is planning to row the Atlantic E-W solo from Morocco to Brazil onboard Paraguaçú ('big river/sea' in an indigenous language of Brazil), formerly Halcyon, - to become the first Portuguese to row an ocean solo. The departure is scheduled for December 2012

plans to row the Atlantic E-W solo from La Gomera to Barbados in his custom-built ocean rowboat "el Día en Llamas". The estimated departure date - December 2012

is planning to row the Pacific E to W  from Lima, Peru to Sydney, Australia. If successful Ben will become the first Australian and the youngest person to row across the Pacific Ocean solo. The departure is planned for 2012 (date t.b.a.)
