Bruno FROIDEVAL (41 years old– investment manager) and
Olivier BERTONNIER ( 40 years old – IT consultant)

have already completed several exciting activities on water and land. Among their experiences are:

ü      North Magnetic Pole on skis

ü      Canadian far north and Alaska in canoe

ü      Motor raid races in Africa (Tunisia and Moroccan Rallies)

ü      Alpinism

ü      Marathons

ü      Around the world backpacking

This lead them today to prepare an Atlantic rowing crossing east-west between Canaries Islands (Pacito Blanco) and Guadeloupe. 

In association with Nausicaa (French Sea Centre located in Boulogne sur Mer), they will promote the World Ocean Network whose main objective is to inspire new behaviour that respects the environment and promote an intelligent and sustainable use of the ocean.

During the trip they will collect plankton samples on regular basis. These samples will be then studied by Nausicaa scientists to gather information about the type of plankton encountered, its location, day or night time collection, sea pollution status, density of the samples, …
