'Peter Bird Trophy For Tenacity and Perseverance'
Sponsored by SPB

 this trophy created in 1997 is a recognition of perseverance and tenacity in an adventure.
 It was awarded this year to young British oceanrower (the youngest solo oceanrower - 23 at the start)
 Oliver Hicks,
who rowed across the Atlantic West to East in summer 2005.

The trophy was presented by the son of Peter Bird - Louis Bird (14)
