Graham
called on Saturday afternoon. He was in good spirits, he fixed water leak
and was rowing his boat, travelling at about 25 miles every day. Of
course, his boat is very heavy at the moment, because he's got everything
for 14 months. |

Graham is in the middle of a full blown gale and soaking wet through. He was taking in water on Wednesday but has found the source to be a bilge pump which has since packed up. He's using his stirrup pump to clear the bilges. |

Graham was
unable to coincide his departure with the start of the TransAtlantic race
as he had hoped. Various problems had to be rectified and anyway anybody
who know's Graham will tell you he is always late. According to Stuart Boreham, Graham Walters left Playa Santiago, La Gomera at 10:45 GMT October 29th. About 30 well-wishers gathered to see him off and gave him three cheers. Graham was reported to be in good spirits and left with a favourable North-East wind, destination - Panama Canal. |
