In November 2006, ccommemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of Scott Base, the winners of the 2003 Trans-Atlantic Rowing race New Zealanders Kevin Biggar and Jamie Fitzgerald undertook an attempt to man haul from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole and then returned back to their starting point using traction kites. |
