Christa Weltermann

Missing

23.02.04

Tim Weltermann is missing since November 4, 2003. He went on an Adventure – Crossing of the Atlantic Ocean leaving Gran Canaria on a two-seater Canoe on October 26, 2003.

He last spoke to his parents on November 4, 2003 by phone and stated that he had only mastered 300  miles so far but was in good spirit and health. His goal was to reach Antigua in 80 days. His location was then 25.33 North and 19.33 West.

His family is very worried that something might have happen to him and sends a list of items which he had on board with him. It may have been found by someone of this island.

Canoe, made by Prijon-Excursion, colour – green, in front of the first seat an Aluminum mast was installed with 2 white sails, 2 oars, Radar Reflector, inflatable booms on the right & left of the canoe, one back rudder as well as 1 Iridium-Motorola Handy, 1 GPS Garmin Geko 101 in yellow, 1 desalting device from Katadyn,2 anchors, 1 red swim vest, 1 emergency signal device, 1 water resistant jacket, different kinds of water resistant bags in red, 1 water-resistant clear plastic container with a blue top and more.

Maybe someone knows something – has found pieces of his equipment or heard of an unidentified person in either a hospital and other circumstances.

Please contact the German Consulate for any further information. (246-427-1876)

 Thanking you in advance.
