 Kenneth F. Crutchlow of the ORS Int.  announced:

  1. The 2^nd Ocean Rowing Society Atlantic  Rowing Regatta - ORSARR 2008 - from La Gomera to Antigua starting on January 20^th 2008;

  2. An attempt to beat the record of the fastest ocean crossing in a rowboat held for 15 years by a French crew  will be made
by an all British Crew headed by oceanrower Leven Brown in the original boat “Le Mondiale”.
The current record is 35 days 8 hours;

  3.   Jo Davies (oceanrower, GB) will be rowing from La Gomera to Antigua also starting on January 20^th 2008.  She will attempt to break the solo women’s record for this route.
     The current record is held by Anne Quéméré (France, 2002-2003) and is 56 days 13 hours.
