I have been involved with ocean rowing since 1995. I had an aborted attempt (due to my partner becoming ill) in the Challenge Business Atlantic rowing race in 1997. My second attempt in 1998 was again from Tenerife but this time solo. Gear failure put paid to that crossing. 1999 was a northern crossing from Newfoundland. Shipping difficulties delayed the start by so much that I turned back. I think it's about time to finish.
