In
December 2001 Theodore completed his solo transatlantic row
from La Gomera (Canary Islands) to Barbados (West Indies) and became

countries. Besides Radio, TV and Internet editions, the circulation
of available documented Press editions totals more than 13

In 2003 Theodore undertook an attempt to row from New York to
Europe, but due to unexpected encounter with an US Navy
missile-carrier ‘US Doyle’, he had to stop his journey because his boat was severely
damaged. |

In July 2005 Theodore
is planning to start his next endeavor – to row solo across the
Indian Ocean, from Carnarvon, WA to Madagascar.
Within the History of Crossing Oceans in rowboats, which runs to
more than a century, only two solo rowers have ever undertaken this
route – Swedish Anders Svedlund in 1971 (Australia - Madagascar),
and British Simon Chalk in 2003 (finished on the longitude of Rafael
Island)
So all in all there were only two completed solo crossings and three
failed attempts by ‘double’s. |
