Small bits of the happiness of life, which we do not notice as air, when we have them, and which, according to all oceanrowers, they were missing most of all (talking about food, of course) when being at sea - bread/toasts, butter, fresh salad, cold beer, - this is something that for sure Teddy's not going to have on his table for forthcoming months. Well, he'll have no table either :) !
And the dog... Teddy used to say, that a dog would make a perfect company to a solo rower, but would then the crossing be qualified as in "double"?

Маленькие радости жизни, которые мы не замечаем как воздух, когда они есть, и которые, по признанию всех океанских гребцов, приобретают особое значение, когда лишаешься их. Хлеб/тосты, масло, свежие овощи, холодное пиво - этого в ближайшие месяцы у Теодора на столе точно не будет. Да и стола, кстати, тоже не будет :)
Ну а собака... Теодор не раз говорил, что идеальным компаньоном гребца-одиночки была бы собака. Но не будет ли тогда переход считаться "двойкой"? :)
