Tiny was
accompanied by the British yacht "SILVER WIND" owned by Pete &
Marion Dawson, and by yacht
“BONCHO”, chartered
by a group of Irish sailors.
This group from the National
Yacht Club in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, and Carrickfergus while on a
week sailing holiday in the Canaries had the pleasure to bump in to Tiny
in Gomera the night before his departure, we shared a few drinks and
some songs and had a few snaps taken while viewing the boat, I attach
for you to post on the site photos of Rob, Larry, Denise, Honor,
Geraldine and Barbara with Tiny at the start of his journey.
On board our chartered yacht “Boncho” we escorted him out of the harbour
in La Gomera at the start of his epic journey leaving him in very high
spirits (despite the hangover
☺) rowing his way towards Hierro.
We will be tracking his progress and look forward to a celebratory pint
in Norwich! |
