March 05 2008. 14:00GMT

Hi,

Let me introduce myself, I am Douwe Ulven Koomen, formally known as 'Twinkle'.

I just joined you in this world; in fact I am only 30 hours old.

I had a bit of a rough ride; after coming out of such a tiny exit, I didn't feel like breathing properly, so they put me first on Oxygen, and later they hooked me up as a Matrix figure. Had tubes in my nose, my mouth, and zillions of other things stuck on my body, was quite annoying. However, after a day I had it on the Intensive Care, and because I was doing everything that a wee child has to do, they finally released me and brought me together with mum. Mom did a fantastic job, or at least that is what dad told me. It took her 11 hours to deliver me and apparently it was not the most pleasant feeling, but the epidural took part of that away. Dad and mom are acting sometimes as morons, when I make a noise or do the slightest movement, they're getting all excited and look very proud. I am still in the hospital and sleeping tonight finally next to mom's bed, much better than the IC, where the constant beeps kept me awake. Can't wait to go home, to sleep in my own room. According to dad, it is an awesome room.

I also looking forward meeting you. You can have a catch up when you like, but give mom or dad a call. (I don't have a cell phone yet, hoping to get one on my first birthday).

Anyway this is my email address, so you can always flick me an email.  If you want to see some photos, check out:

I am looking forward to live life to the fullest,

See you soon
