Alex Bellini

November 12th 2004. Telephone conversation with ORS

I am fine, no problems for me, but the boat... I can say "it was a boat".

I was pushed to coast  of  Formentera by wind. I had big winds and big waves all night, I was looking for beaches but never saw any, only rocks. I kept rowing all night long till 11.00am this morning, but I headed for rocks and nothing I could do. I activated EPIRB

Up until this morning I was enjoying myself, I passed the Gulf of Lion  off France, this is where I would have expected a problem, I never expected it to end like this.

I will go back to Italy in 2 or 3 days.

A brief report and photos by Alex Bellini of what  happened to him on November 12th 2004 in Formentera >>>
